01The business problem
LECO customers pay their electricity bills online, so the payment system must be available, secure and easy to use. The existing architecture needed to evolve with customer expectations and stronger security requirements, including more payment methods and gateways, OTP-based verification, a modern interface and cleaner backend integration.
02What we delivered
- Modernized payment APIs with a cleaner architecture.
- Support for multiple payment gateways.
- Support for multiple payment methods.
- OTP-based customer verification.
- Redesigned, easier-to-use payment interfaces.
- Integration with AWS cloud services.
03Security and reliability
Every change was designed around transaction integrity. OTP verification confirms the customer before payment, security controls were strengthened across the flow, and the multi-gateway design means customers can still pay if one provider has an issue.
04Customer experience
The new interfaces guide customers through each payment in a few clear steps, work well on mobile devices and confirm every transaction immediately. Offering the gateways and methods customers already use reduces failed payments and support requests.
05Built to integrate
The payment services connect to LECO's existing billing and customer systems through modern APIs, so new gateways or payment methods can be added in future without reworking the platform.
06Business impact
Customers get more ways to pay and a smoother experience, while LECO gains a more secure and resilient payment platform. Availability, data integrity and security are critical here, making this work directly relevant to banking and financial applications.
